Updated over a week ago

Weather Conditions

At Sculptured Sand, we strive to provide an unforgettable experience for our valued guests, and we take your safety and enjoyment seriously. Our commitment to operating in various weather conditions means we're generally open, rain or shine. However, during rare instances of extreme weather, such as heavy rainfall that could damage the sculptures or lightning in close proximity that could jeopardize the safety of our guests, we may need to delay our opening or temporarily close to ensure the well-being of our guests and crew.

Guest Experience

We understand that a delay or temporary closure can be disappointing for those who have purchased tickets to visit Sculptured Sand, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused, if one is to occur. Please rest assured that these tough decisions are made with your best interests at heart. In the event of such circumstances, we'll notify our guests as promptly as possible, as detailed below.

Email & Text Notifications

When reserving your tickets in advance, be sure to include your email and phone number as we will notify you via email and text if there are changes to the schedule. With over a decade of experience in operating outdoor events, we monitor the weather constantly and know which unfavorable conditions to look out for. We also know that we typically can’t anticipate the exact impact weather conditions will have on the event until we are within 48 hours of that date. That is why email and text notifications regarding a weather-related delay or closure will generally be sent out no sooner than 48 hours prior to the impacted time slots.
